NOTICE OF RACE
1. RULES
1.1 The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing.
1.2 No national prescriptions will apply.
1.3 If there is a conflict between languages the English text will take precedence.
2. ADVERTISING
Boats may be required to display advertising chosen and supplied by the organizing authority.
3. ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
3.1 The regatta is open to all boats having a valid IRC rating certificate for 2010:
IRC racing division boats with hull factor more than 8
IRC cruising division boats with hull factor equal or less than 8
The race committee may further sub-divide the racing and cruising divisions by TCC, taking into account the number of
registered boats and their TCC.
3.2 Depending on the participating boats performances, the organizers reserve the right to change this figures and/or to add
new criteria such as the boat length or DLR in order to better split the racers from the cruisers.
3.3 Decision to run without the spinnaker must be announced at the registration, in writing. Later announcements will not be
taken into consideration. If the decision to run without the spinnaker is announced, this will apply for all the regatta courses.
4. FEES
No entry fee is required.

6. MEASUREMENTS
Each boat shall produce a valid IRC rating certificate for 2010
7. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
The sailing instructions will be available at the skipper’s briefing and after that at the Regatta Office in Mangalia harbor
8. VENUES
The venues will be Mangalia Marina, Romania
9. THE COURSES
9.1 The courses to be sailed will be as follows:
Inshore races Neptun
Inshore races Mangalia
9.2 Detailed information about the courses will be provided in the sailing instructions
10. PENALTY SYSTEM
10.1 Rule 44.1 is changed so that the Two-Turns Penalty is replaced by the One-Turn Penalty.
10.2 Decisions of the Protest Committee will be subject to appeal to the Romanian Sailing Federation.
11. SCORING
11.1 Three races are required to be completed to constitute a series.
11.2 Scoring coefficient of the offshore race, will be 1,5; of the rest of races will be 1,0.
12. BERTHING
Boats shall be kept in their assigned places in Mangalia Marina.
13. RADIO COMMUNICATION
Except in an emergency, a boat shall neither make radio transmissions while racing nor receive radio communications not
available to all boats. This restriction also applies to mobile telephones.
14. AWARDS
Awards will be given for the winners of each Class in the Racing and Cruising Divisions, the Second and the Third place,
as well as for the overall winner of Regatta Callatis.
15. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See rule 4, Decision to Race. The organizing authority will
not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or
after the regatta.
