Moscow International Boat&Yacht Show 2010

There is only one day left until the opening of the 18th edition of the largest exhibitions in Russia with sailing profile. It is organized under the patronage of the Russian Federation of Sailing, Power Boat Federation and supported by Moscow city government.
MIBS hosts over 200 exhibitors coming from 26 countries, offering a mix of new entrants and well-known names in the sector. Exhibitors exploit this opportunity to get an insight into current developments in the nautical industry. Apart from this, MIBS is famous for the informal atmosphere provided by the perfect location to discuss business and build lasting commercial relationships.
And as Russian nautical market has enjoyed a massive growth in the last 5 years, and statistics predict that Russia’s demand for imported boats, yachts and accessories will continue to grow in coming years, this event is much awaited by the boat dealers and importers from Europe and Asia.
According to dealers, distributors and independent experts, the turnover of Russian yachting market has recorded annual increases of 25-30% in 2004. The total size of the craft industry worldwide reached an estimated 25 billion in 2007. Buyers from Russia and Community of Independent Countries continue to expand their influence in the yachting market. In 2006, orders from Russia totaled 6.7% on megayachts market, their share is now 25-30%, which means that every third order for a megayacht is from Russia, which is not surprising in view that the number of millionaires in Russia grew by 7% in 2007.
Back to this year’s exhibition, it must be reminded that each day is dedicated to sailing destinations. On April 15 you can learn about the best deals for charter in Croatia, April 16 is dedicated to Italy, April 17 is devoted to France and Corsica, and April 18 to Caribbean Islands.
The fair is open daily between 11.00 and 19.00, and visitors who register on the official site of the event (www.mibs-expo.ru) receive a free entry.
