America’s Cup will be broadcasted live

Organizers of the 33rd edition of the America’s Cup, scheduled to begin on February 8, announced live coverage of the race via the Internet. Consorcio Valencia 2007, the group responsible for the infrastructure of the 32nd edition of the America’s Cup, which now makes arrangements for the 33rd event, said that for the first time in its history this race will be transmitted live on the internet at no additional cost. The site www.americascup.com will reach the largest possible audience, including among young fans that could not be in Valencia to witness this historic contest. On February 7, those present in Valencia will be able to watch the race live on a giant outdoor screen that through a combination of live-video and sophisticated computer animation, will “move the race back to shore.” The audience area will include also trade stands, a number of activities for children, youth and families.
